The two "Time Interwoven" murals were inspired by a series of engravings produced in Netherlands in 1561 depicting the senses. The original drawings were made by Frans Flores, commissioned by Hieronymous Cock and engraved by Cornelis Cost. On the this theme, I have introduced the idea of non-sequential time by placing a contemporary figure in a re-imagined" historical engraving. I am attempting to call attention to the senses and demonstrate how print technologies might act like a time machine to suggest the interweaving of temporal dimensions.
